Rewind.

I just want to go back in time
To the place where we fell in love
When everything was perfect
at least it was close to it
When we knew each other
like the back of our hand
and were strung together like strands
It gets to me every now and then
that things are not how they should be
but who am I to say that they should
be any kind of way?
I just hope that we somehow
get back to that place
the place of knowing without
a doubt how you felt and
that you'd never leave
and will forever be mine.
Is that too much to ask?
